En annan väg till slutet på fattigdomen

Jo, det var mycket riktigt Yes Men som låg bakom driften med World Economic Forum, som jag skrev om igår här på bloggen.

En av anledningarna var att skapa uppmärksamhet kring filmen The End of Poverty, som hade premiär förra året, men visas i New York idag.

Så här förklarar regissören till filmen varför de bemödade sig om att göra en fejkad hemsida för ekonomimötet I Davos: "We did this out of frustration with the fact that each year in Davos, the wealthy and powerful figure out ways the global economy can continue to benefit them. Even this year, they're still talking about economic growth and de-regulation as the solution to poverty. That's especially obscene in light of this year's economic crisis, which resulted from those exact policies and has disproportionately affected the poor."
